I use something like that in the lab.

But that's to measure absorbance, not wavelength :)

Well, I use spectrophotometers, but I have no idea about that model.

These are seriously expensive bits of equipment, so I'm very skeptical that what you have here is a working machine.
 
Spectrometer != Spectrophotometer, at least not in the terms that I have always known. It says both in this description, but it sounds like a spectrophotometer to me. Be careful of what you're getting if you're thinking of getting this, a spectrophotometer is not ideal for measuring wavelengths of lasers and such.
 
Ah, yes. That's a good point ^.

Never really paid enough attention because the words look too similar, lol
