Ebay item: HeNe Laser-head + PS for $39.95 shipped

I found these this morning, seems like a good price for a complete HeNe set-up. It is smaller than the one I have, .5-1.3mW, .8mW typical, but this one seemed like it was worth it just for the PS. I think I know what my daughters science-fair project will be this year .
I have no affiliation with the seller whatsoever, other than I just bought one of these units from him. I will post a small review when I get it. I had to pay Washington State sales tax, because I live here, but it should make for faster shipping ;D.

I've seen Boomer put these up on eBay before, but never for $40 shipped with a power supply. If I wasn't saving my money for a new computer in August, I'd definitely buy one of these.

I just bought one too ;D

I tried to talk myself out of it for like two days but I just kept going back. Hopefully, since he's only an hour and a half drive away, it will be here saturday!

I recieved mine today.
It is even smaller than I had thought, just a little larger than my hand. I didn't have much time to play with it tonight, but I did take some pictures, some with the "shell" taken apart.

I ordered on July 6th, pretty fast, although they are coming from the same state.
I will pop it into my lunch box and show you this afternoon, or this weekend if we don't get a chance today. ;D
I did finish wiring it up to a small home-made power supply, adjusted it to 12v, and she lit-up ;D  It has a really small dot at close-range, but grew to about 1/4" when I shot it across my garage, probably needs some kind of secondary optic to focus.
I am wondering if a 12v "wall-wart" PS would have enough current? that would nice and compact? Here are some picture taken while "lasing", not really any "beam-shots" though, I will need some smoke for that.

Thanks, but yours is "Stainless-Steel armored" though, I have one of those coming too, but I will need to get a power-supply for it before I can fire it up ;D
