ebay - argon scanner






I was going to ask if it was single or three phase, but someone already asked that. And single phase is what you want.

If that thing is working, then it's a great deal I think. Only says he ships to the UK though, so make sure that's your country ;)
 
Lawl, I really don't think any 100mW argons run on three phase. He stated it draws 10A. On three phase that'd be 6kW which would make for an exceedingly inefficient argon by any standards.

The scanning system itself seems elementary at best. "tunnels" and "lines" doesn't quite merit a $14,000 price tag in my book.

It may have when it was new ;) Plus, it is only listed for 100 Pounds Sterling.

Looks kind of old, the seller doesn't mention how much time its been run for either.

robjdixon: what kind of bike did you buy? I am into freeride/downhill and have been for a few years now, my rig is a Kona Stinky with marzocchi up front and a roox rollercoaster chain guide (basically stock, but suits my style perfectly). What sort of riding are you into?

For 100 pounds the argon system should be worth checking out? Don't even want to know how much shipping would be though :o
 
i bought me a bianchi via nirone road bike. I am also into mtb, and have a claud butler cape wrath d27, but that is messed up(i fell down a waterfall on it), so i am building a new one from scratch if i can get some money together.

I don't have the balls to do freeride, but it loks cool if you are good at it ;D

Anyone can be good at it, it was even great when I was starting out, bombing down a steep incline in the woods, popping over "cliffs" and branches etc. on the way down is the best feeling possible! It is like a rollercoaster just you are the one that is in control. However, doing this without a decent helmet (have a troy lee designs fully) is suicide or would have been for me on more occasions than I care to mention. Some nice body armor is also a good option, but not as crucial as good head wear.

We have many mountains and runs here in Slovenia as well as Italy and Austria (alps), so it is a good place to be a freerider, basically its all I do on a bike (I am not that big a fan of actually pedaling in any direction but downhill ;D).

Your bike looks pretty awesome, but since its in the exact opposite spectrum of bikes that I am accustomed to reading about/riding, I can't comment any farther then that.
 
thanks. I sort of lost my confidence with mtb when i fell down the waterfall. I was doing some pretty hard descents, and i only have a 80mm fork. I hope to get back into it when i can get a better mtb that can go uphill and downhill.
 
What happened, was your CoG too far forward and you went over the handlebars? I had that happen to me a lot on my trekking bike, usually its not so much the size of the shock but a wrong geometry of the bikes chassis. But then again there are some situations where the only thing that can save you is a travel suspension of the suspension :) (scary moments) Ive go t 17cm up front and ~18cm back (a bit less), it helps when the going gets tough :P.

Did you hurt yourself badly falling down the waterfall (yeah I know it seems like a stupid question, but people wouldn't believe me if I told them what kind of falls I came out of with just bruises).
