E-bay Green Module - Not Bad!

If you still have my address sure send one my way, i will be directing people to you for those heatsinks as i get many questions on where to get a decent heatsink and not break the bank. Do you have an e-bay account with them listed if so i will include your listing link in my listing and its sure to bring you sales it not let me know what link i should use to direct them your way.
My stock should be in early next week, You can send the heatsink my way and when i get my modules and get the meeter i will shipp you out a module but you will have to make up the differance.
Im looking to get a nice meeter from an LPF member looks easy to use and works with all colors and appears to be quality and stable, the link bellow is someone who uses the same meeter i shouldbe getting.
YouTube - MICRO RC RED LABBY LASER 361mW

Sounds Good...

I'll send you a heatsink then, and wait till you get your meter. Then find me a nice one, stable too, and I'll pay the difference!

I don't want to sell them on E-bay because of the extra fees, but if you could just link to my list of kits, that would be great! :)

I got a similar one (the 3.6V module nexbox sells) on Friday, and it was a HUGE jump from my previous 30mw module, thanks!

Well I also took a chance on purchasing 2nd type module:
200mW 532nm 3.5V-4.2V Laser Module Green Laser L@@K~~~~

This is not the same type as jayrob's!

For a little more cash, this is said to be more stable and is 3.7v compatible.

After receiving the module yesterday, I installed it in a Ultrafire WF-503b host using a Trustfire tr-123a li-on 3.7v cell, will switch to 18650 cell after the extender gets here. i am without a power meter, but let me pass along the fact that this is a powerfull module! Thanks to nexbox360!

beam type is tem00

current draw 470ma tested on two different meters with both type batteries.

470ma? shouldn't this be like around 700-800ma?? possible issue here!!

More a little later..

The video is too dark to tell for sure, but this meter looks like a Kenometer (same one in my pics. above)
Great meter, measures up to 5W, all wavelengths. You can PM Ken here, to ask about one.(might be more then you want to pay, however) User ID:
Kenom
Jerry, (lasersbee) has a great, less expensive one, that hooks up to a DMM. User ID: Lasersbee
Don't be fooled into buying a cheap one off of e-bay, if it's under $100,(other then Jerry's) it is probably only for 632.8nm (He-Ne). (don't ask me how I know, not once, not twice, but 3X)
:(

BTW: I am getting around 155mW of pure, stable, 532nm out of this module using an IR filter.(175mW peak) Showing <10mW of IR, using the 532nm block filter. Must be a difference in the AR coatings?:wtf:

So in summation:
Using IR block filter
Peak/ no IR filter=210mW---W/ IR filter 175mW= Difference of 35mW
Stable/ no IR filter= 180mW---W/ IR filter 155mW= Difference of 25mW

Using 532nm block filter
8 Mw Peak?
5-6mW stable?

EDIT: Pics of the finished laser and a beam shot. (more and better ones {night} to come)

Wow very impressive output results. So all in all what do you think about the module as far as build quality, green vrs ir output, and burning power?
Thanks again

I think for the price, it is a very good deal.
How many times do you buy a >50mW, 532nm module off of e-bay and it reads higher then spec?
Output is very stable, beam profile is great, divergence is great, no scatter or artifacts in the beam, IR is very low for a high powered module.
But one final test remains, total hours before failure.

Let's hope it is a long time before we find that out.

I have yet to have one fail on me, but i have only been dealing with this factory for about 5-6 months. I sold a laser to a buddy and he sits at home all day and plays with it probably heating it up a little to much and it has yet to break. My laser i slightly pot moded and its not heatsinked it uses one of those small pen cases and ithas yet to fail and thats the laser i let all of my friends and everyone else play with.
So i think you should get some life out of this one :)

Looks like im going to be geeting the LPM from laserbee instead of the kenom meeter due to the fact that im not sure when i would be able to get the kenom meeter. Im sure i can get the LPM from laserbee faster, and with all these request to messure the output i would like to get it as soon as i can so i can provide in my packages peak output and resting output 30-45 seconds after being on.
Does anyone else use the laserbee?
I have red great reviews on it and it appears to be very acurate.
Would everyone be pleased with the results (power redouts) from this power meeter?

nexbox360: looks like my module took a dump last night. beam just got weaker then went out all together. thought it was a battery issue, till i checked voltage of battery under load with the module. 3.65v at 450ma! module died. total run time less than 15 minutes, with no more than 30-45 secs at a time. hope to exchange with a module with a little more current draw.

pm sent

ok, if you still have my return address send it back. I have 1 more of the high voltage modules in stock, if it sells before i recieve your box i should have more stock in a week so the wait will not be long. I dont mean to sell it before i swap yours out but the module i have left in stock could be under powered i would wrather wait till my stock comes in to have a few more high powered ones and have a few to choose from to pick you the hot one.
I am sorry you have had a problem please make sure there is no damage done and send it back as it was recieved so i may send it back to the factory to be replaced.
I will also be recieving my LPM in 10-15 days i ordered one from laserbee and he shipped it out today. If you would like i can wait till the meeter comes in and pick out the best one for you and send the results with it :)
Its up to you.
Again i apologies for the problem i have not had much testing done on these higher voltage modules and just started ordering a small amount of them to try them out if this happens again i wont be ordering them anymore and i will stick to the 3v module.
I can also send you a 3v module instead ofthe 3.7v if you would like to change to it.

nexbox360: Thanks. it will ship on Tuesday. will forward shipping info then.
i'll get back to you on the decision.

thanks

pat

My higher voltage module pulls 488ma and has been working perfectly for close to a total of 4 hours running time. Sorry to hear about the failure of your's Alfa Romeo.

Hmmm... I don't know that much about DPSS laser builds, but it's strange how yours is only drawing 488mA's and mine is more like 750mA's??

That is indeed strange. Perhaps posting detailed picts of the driver will reveal differences in the circuit design? That would be helpful. I actually think that Jayrob's current draw sounds more ideal and typical.

The listing that was aproved to be renewed was the 3v module the 4.2v module was never removed.
