DX ''true'' 10mW for a 12 year old?

Maybe a member here could sell him a Green pointer that has been turned
down to under 10mW and tested on an LPM... :thinking:

You all know we can do it.... even though it seems WE are always trying to
turn UP our Lasers....

This may be a first for the forum....

5mw of green is still dangerous... It's not like red ones, they are more powerful.

It wasn't too long ago that I was 12 myself.

Nobody here is going to be able to judge like you can. You know your brother, none of us do.

I was a pretty responsible person at age 12. I was in a situation where I HAD to be though. I say give him a chance, until you see him using it irresponsibly.

Where did you get that information from....:thinking:

As far as all the testing I have done with lasers of different wavelengths
on LPMs... 5mW is 5mW no matter what the wavelength is...

A Green 5mW is no more powerful than a Red 5mW...

@ silvershot. green just appears to the human eye to be more powerful because it is the most visible color that our eyes detect. And it is proven that at 5 mw the ir leakage is negligable. but having said that, don't point any bright light in your eye!!!!!
