DX 300mw Green... uh huh

Also, he can quote and post again as much as he wants, until you become a mod and delete them.

ALSO in my personal opinion, anybody in the world selling and claiming a laser to be 300mW and it is in fact half, nowhere near, or not even within a 10-20% range as claimed, is a lying, cheating, scumbag, and a horrible, terrible company. that's why i will never ever in my life order something from a website that cannot prove it is what it is.

I have a 14,000mW green laser that came from walmart attached to my airsoft gun. The bidding for you fine gentlemen will start at a very reasonable $500!!!!

I don't know who is arguing with who at this point, but I'm grateful to EVERYONE in this thread for reminding me that this is still.. the internet :)

Until you can provide proof that this is the internet I am going to continue to search for Morpheus, he has some pills I want to take.

Congratulations for:
1) Beeing a good buyer, but maybe you could try some cheap companies for low powered lasers, you can earn some bucks there.
2) So ethic in bussiness (as me, I've never sold a laser without saying it's real output, not joking at this)
3) Beeing SO funny doing jokes (really makes me laugh A LOT! that airsoft gun joke)

Thanks for your time !

I'm not sure if there were any jokes in there - but I definitely just laughed :)

by the way ... look at the picture -

on the warning label is 300 - DX has made new photos :-)

my favourite is the DX 150mW - runs with NiMh @ "burning power"

@ RHD -- please write when you got them - an if you are satisfied with

have you an "TRUE 50" or "DX 150mW" to compare?

No - I'm not ordering this laser, lol.

As discussed, this is a common host. You see lasers of all different actual and claimed strengths put inside them, with unpredictable degrees of accuracy. There is absolutely no way to know what you're getting.....that is.....unless you're Megha :)

Didn't you know that he spends over $5,000 a year on lasers? I did. He's able to sniff out true milliwatt ratings from the HTML code on Chinese websites, and the EXIF data in their product-shot JPEGs.

And don't you even worry about comparisons. Not necessary. Megha's fingers are so well trained in laserometry, that they act as precise thermopiles.

I honestly don't know if you were trying to come at me and be sarcastic, but in my last post i was NOT talking about you in any way shape or form, I was talking about deal extreme, dino direct, and like companies. I have never bought from you so I do not know your business ethics or how you run your ''business''. But like I said before and will say again, if i ever do not get what i pay for, you better believe ill be sending it back and getting a 100% refund no matter what. That is false advertisement and against many laws.

And if you were trying to make a joke at me.... haha good job buddy:crackup::crackup::crackup::crackup::crackup::crackup:

We have to wait to 02/08 for DX to re open the site... Chinese new year there, 1 week with no work from DX staff. Ordered 01/23... Bad luck :(

The practise of buying in bulk, testing and binning for resale is not new, but its a proven idea.

You could buy a lot of 100 lasers from dx labeled as 200 or 300 mW, and then test the actual green power output. You might be reselling them as 70 mW units guaranteed. Personally i think this is a fine business model: you seperate the crap from the good with testing. Obviously your rated power per dollar will be way lower, but a guaranteed minimum output appeals to me much more than some vague maximum power label that never comes true.

Personally I do not like the AAA powered lasers though, since their performace depends on the batteries used too much. With lithium powered lasers the binning and reselling procedure is more clear. You can power those from a 3.0, 3.6 or 4.0 volt lab supply and measure what they actually produce.
