Step 2: Fold one of the caps inside out like so and proceed to cut off the excess silicone inside

I don't bother cutting off the inside, they seem to fit fine as is :tinfoil:

Thanks! I was wondering were everyone on the forums was getting these dust caps.

Just to note, I was wrong about the inside.
They hang on a LOT better if you cut the inside off.
The green ones also work very well as a flashlight in a pinch, I lost my truck key in the snow at 2am and I wouldn't have found it without the laser + dust cover.

Just FYI, jayrob posted something like this in one of his threads literally years ago. Just letting you know

I dont think the poster is claiming to have figured this out on his own. Hes just posting the information because its long buried in the forum.

I wish I had seen this when I first joined this forum. I ordered 2 on ebay for the same price as 20 on DX. I did order a pack of green last week for $2 :) so I'm happy with that. :thanks:

Just thought I'd bump this thread so people can see it :)

I wish I could get some of those blue tailcaps :( I want some for a Aurora c6 and as caps. They are flat on the back so they look nicer (to me) and can help non-tailstanding lights to tailstand.

OP has been edited to keep everyone happy..

tbh I don't really see what the problem is?
