Dragon Lasers 589nm 50mw Handheld

I just received the following email from Adam, I'm not sure exactly how to interpret it and have asked for clarification. Here it is with the tracking number removed:

"Hi Jeff,

Shipping info the last package contains 5pcs lasers.
4-Jul RRxxxxxxxxxxx registered mail

The first package was delayed by China post I expect it can be arrived in the US in about a week.

If you'd like the tracking number PM me, something tells me it's not a good idea to make it public.

that sounds like it went regular snail mail. DHL wouldn't be using China post so we might be waiting a few weeks if that is the case :(
 
This is the most recent email from Adam. One of the shipping numbers he gave was in error (someone else's) and when tracked it said it was going to Estonia. Of course i enquired as to what the deal was. I also asked if this was being shipped DHL or what. At one point he sent me an email saying shipping would take 4-7 days. I took that to mean it would arrive in 4-7 days. I suspect i misunderstood him because they are shipping via regular post which will arrive through USPS to me. Here is the most recent response with tracking numbers partially deleted for privacy (again, if your a part of this and want them just PM me and i will gladly supply):

Dear Jeff,

The shipping to Estonia does not belong to you.

Your two shipments numbers are listing below
RR58898xxxxxCN
RR58898yyyyyCN


The first package tracking info is available on www.usps.com now and the second shipment tracking info will be available in about a week.

We could not use DHL or any other courser services. Shipping laser pointers in batch to the USA by Courier will probably be confiscated by FDA.
Shipping time is roughly 2-3 weeks via regular mail.

This was not the update i had hoped to provide. Regardless, they will be here before you know it. Waiting longer always sucks but if ever there were a laser worth waiting for, this is the one, i still turn mine one almost daily. There is something about this color that's truly addictive.
 
You've done all you can do for now, the waiting is the hardest part! :whistle:

I'm with you 100% on the allure of that golden beam; I do that with my PGL 589 also. It's not in my nicest host, definitely not my most powerful, but there is something about that color that keeps you coming back! :yh:

PS - I used my discount coupon at D/L for the B.E., worked as advertised.

FWIW, I wanted to let folks know that I purchased a beam expander with the coupon code after Adam upgraded my account to silver status and it arrived this morning via USPS delivery.

I haven't used it yet since I don't have the Spartan, but the construction is a lot more solid than I expected. Impressive.

Just a few quick shots of the beam expander that arrived today. Got the two i ordered, one for me and the other for one of the participants.
 
Looking good Jeff, I'm hoping to see mine show up in the next couple of days.

It's a little bigger than I thought it would be.:whistle: It turns that D/L Spartan host into a small club!

BTW- Would you happen to know what size those threads are where the B.E. screws on to the host ?

However I have been lucky enough to source one of these DL 589nm AND IT ARRIVED TODAY!
When this thread started on the back of IsaacT's thread I got all excited with Gold fever! The same thing happened a couple of years ago when I bought a Minelab 4500 metal detecter and went prospecting in Western Australia but this time the Gold is more forthcoming and I don't have to put up with all the flies and 45C heat!
Anyway sorry to jump in on this thread but I just wanted to let you know that I have joined the Golden Club! Oh yes I am 50 next week so a Gold Laser is appropriate I think, well thats what I am telling the wife! :whistle:

Thanks Bowtieguy. My apologies to my little Rigal for forgetting you ! My wife did caution me when I got this but she will hit the roof when I have two custom made hosts rock up from Sinner in a weeks time!:scared:

Congrats on the new laser! You'll have to throw up a thread with some photos of shiney beams now that the cat is out of the bag. :)
