Dragon Lasers 300mw Hulk Ultra review

His being a CNI, and the 5 minute stability of that plot, never dropping below 310mW, shows that this is superior to the GBs. I'd hope so, as it's almost twice the cost :)
Still, that's a NICE SOLID output graph, definitely shows this particular laser is up to snuff.

I done the divergence test to and was very impressed to see it's mRad reading was 1.2303143398648588 mRad.

:o damn man when it comes to measurements you dont mess around! ;D

LOL! I think he just copied the output from my little Jscript dealy. It just does the raw math, you have to figure in the margin of error yourself! :P

You are absolutely right there Carter and a damn good tool it is, my only input was to measure the laser beam at the said distance (using OD 5 goggle) to get the results....

No offense to you Timelord, but either way I feel dragonlasers is not a good place to purchase a laser. It seems that you have a good relationship with them and are destined to get a good laser, but not other people. Not too mention their high prices and reputation for selling underspec :/

Anyway, good review

I think Dragonlases is a lot more reputable and has better product than say, Wickedlasers does. No laser I've ever bought from WL has performed at spec. As for DL, well, I'm waiting on my Spartan GW >300mW so I'll post that review when I get it.

I hope you have a meter to test the output. We can tell a lot from a review, but a meter is what tells most of what we are looking for. Good luck with your new laser...I hope you are happy with it... :)

I don't, but my dad knows some people at the local U and will see if he can't arrange for me to borrow one to use for the review. Also, I'm purchasing one soon from Kenom, because he has fantastic prices.

Thank you Timelord for your review, i read it with interest.

I'm beginner in the laser-world, so i have many question...

One is this: if the real manufacturer of this laser is CNI-LASER and if the real name of this product is PGL-III-C (alias DragonLaser Hulk Ultra) then i read that the official specification are:

- Beam divergence, full angle (mrad) < 1.5
- Transverse mode = TEM00

Now the question: because DragonLaser write otherwise:

- Beam divergence, full angle (mrad) < 1.2
- Transverse Mode = Near TEMoo

Is the same product ???? Boh... Someone has the answer? Thanks...
