Re: ***  BluRays again ;)  ***

Seems there was an incompatibility issue between firefox and IE before on the order page... so for all those who wanted to order and couldn't... it's fixed now :)

Thanx;

You are correct ;)

I can't get the funds cleared into my account unless I 'ship' them... and I can't wire the money to China if it's not in my account :P

Either way, you will get another e-mail with the tracking number once they really ship out ;D

Re: ***  BluRays again ;)  ***

I posted a thread mention that PSXBoy has dropped his price to $27 for 5+ units shipped. Last I checked the Paypal fee was only $5.40 and the shipping cost to US/Europe is under $5 for registered Airmail.

Not to dampen this GB but for international buyers who want more than 5 units, it might be more economical and also faster to get them straight from PSXboy, which if I am not wrong is the same source DDL is getting his assemblies from. Even for 1 unit to US/Europe it will cost only $33 shipped airmail.

Re: ***  BluRays again ;)  ***

Hello, I'm a newbie here.
If I connect the blu-ray diode to a circuit for normal red laser pointer, will the blu-ray be damaged?

Re: ***  BluRays again ;)  ***

It probably won't light up as the voltage is not high enough for the lasing threshold and the diode might burn out depending on the current being fed to the diode.

Re: ***  BluRays again ;)  ***

Sorry for my ignorance idea again...

I can get an amp-meter for just USD$2.
(something like this:  w w w.cter.edu.tw/Material/03/25/63/16022/image002.jpg)

If I connect the: amp-meter, resistor(adjustable), laser diode and battery in series
would this be a (safe) cheaper way to light the blu-ray?

An ammeter does not provide current. It measures current. So it would not work.

Cheapest safe way is
6v of batteries + adjustable resistor + capacitor in parallel + laser diode
Check around the forums for a driver.
