Hi Accu,
The Thor sink will have to be machined out to 12mm and larger if you want a copper sleeve pressed in and the tube will need a 20mm or 21mm contact board. I also bored out the battery tube to take 2-18350's instead of 2-16340's batteries. These pics are of my 462nm build i have up for sale .

What diode and driver did you use, And is that large copper focusing handle pressed onto the focusing lens ?

One more question, The copper sleeve holds the diode, correct ?

I believe the diode, driver are all from DTR. The diode in is the initial copper module which also is from DTR. then put in the copper sleeve.
Till Lifetime chimes in, check out DTR's wealth of info on his sight..

Hi Accro,
I used a 462nm/2W diode and an X Drive set to 1.8A with a G2 lens that is threaded into the custom focus knob on the front

I finally got it apart enough to see the laser driver and now I just have to press out the brass diode heat sink.....

So at DTR's laser shop I can get NUBM06 455nm Laser Diode In 12mm Copper Module W/Leads for $95 and what driver amp setting should I order ?

Hi,
4A or 4.5A is fine but what heat sinking are you using? At that Amp you will need a bigger sink. If your thinking about putting it in that Thor host well duty cycles will be very short, that aluminum sink will not do the job entirely .

Hi,
I installed a 462nm 5.6mm diode with an x drive set to 1.8A . But i also bored out the aluminum heat sink and pressed in a copper sleeve for heat dissipation.

I could do something like that, I have the heat sink copper billets.....

Could I use a NUBM06 455nm Laser Diode In 12mm Copper Module if I mounted it in one of my copper billets and bored out my host to take a much larger heat sink ?

You would be asking a lot from the 16340 batteries. I had a NUB07E running off 2 18350s and they got pretty warm.
