Does anyone know if something like this exists?

I am looking for a green laser/green LED combo keychain. I have a piddly little red laser/whitish LED keychain combo, but it just doesn't get the job done with the laser or the LED.

I expect that there isn't anything like this, and that I'll have to just use separate LED and laser keychains. It doesn't hurt to ask though. I've looked, but had no luck.

Thanks in advance,

Rob

I haven't seen anything like this, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I'm sure you could find a way to buy them separate and combine them.

This is what I'm thinking I'll have to do, but I'm not sure how yet. I guess it could make a fun project, except for the small problem that I have a tendency to destroy any electronics that I try to take apart. ;D

Why do you need a green LED? :-/

Having a little flashlight on my keychain has proven to be immensely useful. I want green because, as we all know, our eyes are most sensitive to green and besides that, a green LED would look good, methinks anyway, with a green laser.

do they sell green lasers/ LED keychains? if so you could just solder diffrent leds on it....then you wouldn't have to mess with the laser.

But aren't white LEDs brighter anyway? Besides, you can actually see colors ;D

Re: Does anyone know if something like this exists

If you want night visibility, the closest you can get to 507nm will be the brightest as a flashlight. If you haven't ever messed with cyan LEDs before, you would be amazed how much brighter at night they are. Blue LEDs work pretty well too.

Anyway, you could always duct tape a green laser pointer to a green LED flashlight, it would be just as good as a professionally made one.

white is best for an LED/flashlight because colored lights make everything that same color, whereas a white light will make anything you shine it at retain its true color. makes things easier to see/find.
