I am moving and I recently dug up an old relic.
It is a bulky 300mW 520nm laser. pics below.

That's def an arcane I believe, I actually never received a user manual for both my Scifis, but 300mw 520 would prolly have a D-cycle of 5 min? Not sure of anything else really

I'm mainly asking about battery polarity. Etian was notorious for not having RPP.

Ohhhh. My apologies:(
Unfortunately I'm not sure about polarity. It's a 520 so it may be case negative but to make sure I would just contact someone who owns the same one by searching the green laser category.

I actually still have no idea how to upload high quality pics for some reason :( except doing with that stupid 600x800 option which never works great for me.

I forgot about that. I remember someone telling me that. Thanks again

If it helps, the arcanes I repaired were positive to head and negative to tailcap. You could always remove the driver and have a look.

This is a pic of the drivers he used in his builds - cheap ebay flashlight ones..

You might also want to take the opportunity to add thermal compound between the module and the host and redo the connections with heat shrink rather than PTFE tape.

Edit: I just tested the damaged driver above and there was continuity between the positive L+ pad and the central pad with the spring. The outside negative ring was not continuous with the L- pad or the L+ pad suggesting that the driver regulates over the negative path and that the laser will be positive to head and neg to tail cap.

Oh, I missed that idea..... but now that you mention it, do I see a slight upturn? I've been calling those monkey thumbs, but when I look for photo's of a monkeys hands, I don't see that kind of thumb, maybe they wouldn't be able to hold on to tree limbs as well if their thumbs did that.
