Any methods?

I was just going to cut the module in half with a dremel to get the diode out. I'm not so sure there's a safer way to remove a pressed diode from an Aixiz module.

FlaminPyro's diode press. Look for it in the Pro Shop, he has an innie and an outie, and they both work great.

I use both of these and LOVE them!

If you cannot wait, you can use an appropriate size section of an old metal antenna to push the diode out with. Get a short piece at a diameter that will just slip over the can. Place it into a vice with something hollow on the rear (I use a socket for this). Then you can press the diode out without damaging it or the module

Peace,

Good idea, Dave.

I am off to look for an antenna now. On second thought, is there a size of aluminum tube at the hardware store that would work, to save me from searching at the junk yard for an antenna? I don't have any devices here that can spare one.

It has to be pretty thin walled. The tube has to fit over the can, but still fit inside the opening in the module.

I don't remember what those measurements are.

.16" ID, .18" OD works fine for me.
A antenna section is the best way to go, everything else I tried was too thick walled.
