I'll wait until 2015, when maybe everyone and their grandmother has a RGB laser pointer on their keychain.  

by then.. US regulations will outlaw carring around LEDs. O.O

some idiot between now and then will somehow figure out how to use LEDs as weapons and bring down some planes

By then pencils/pens will be banned from school due to a dramatic increase in pencil and pen related stabbings. All assignments will be done in crayon to greatly reduce the chance of injury.
