This is the one reason I don't like Firefox-it doesn't let me choose where to save files. I really need to clean my desktop.  

Edit: Cleaned.

I moved everything I could to one folder. All the stuff that's left is stuff it wont let me delete/move.

Go to Tools>Options.
Go to "Main" tab.
Change preferences to your liking in the "Downloads" area.
Profit.
