It would have to be a lab laser. Handhelds can be somewhat stable but for calibration at that power it has to be a lab laser.

405nm also wouldn't be a good idea. Some LPM's can absorb it differently, giving different readings. IR/Red is generally best.

Ahh I've calibrated lots of those. They have this annoying thing right above them. It makes no sense and lots of noise.

That would have been my next suggestion, red.

I have a red mini lab laser, but it's not dead stable. I guess ir then.

It would be possible to make a stable red laser. A calibration laser should have optical feedback anyway :p
