Cool new burning laser motion detector

I had a small motion detector that beeps when it sensor was disturbed I wanted to make it really protect what ever it was by, So I incorporated a LOC, an a flex drive set @ 420mA now when ever the sensor is disturbed the laser turns on instead of the beeping sound and... well you get the point!

So if someone looks into it and moves it they get their eye shot off?

Its not aimed eye level!!!! And anyone stupid enough to touch something that a U.S. Marine wants to protect, then yeah they'll get what they deserve! Get some ooo-rahhh

Lol, since when do the lasers we use start fires ? Sure they burn but they don't actually set things a blaze ! And the motion detector shuts off after 5 seconds thats not enough time burn anythng ,its more of a visual deterent , ideally it should spook whoever is setting it off..

That would suck if a pet went up to it and got beamed in the eye or a small child walked past and got beamed. But that is still cool!

I have spooked a trespasser or two with my greenie, so yeah laser do frighten the unexpected visitor.

strobe lights and klaxons do the same thing, only a tad safer.

That would never be the case the detector has to come in contact in order for the laser to activate, it doesn't just go off when someone or something passes in front of it, for example lets say you have a envelope full of money on your dresser and you place the sensor on top of the envelope and turn it on now whoever moves it the laser will turn on and ideally spook the theif. As for the pets and small children, there are no children in my household and if there were children or my dog walking around it simply wouldn't be out in the open I don't keep dangerous objects lying around like that , but I do see what you guys are saying i'll be very careful !

Okay that still doesn't mean that the laser we are using can start a fire without an accelerant! We all know they can burn dark paper and light matches and I used a red diode instead of a blu-ray for a reason the red doesn't burn as much as the blu-ray does , the worst that could happen is maybe and I doubt this highly my wall might have a tiny brown spot but thats really unlikely thanks for your reply's
