Collecting money on brand new S1 lenses

Re: Group buy on g type lenses

I still want mine!!!!!!!!!!!! In till the bitter end with you my friend!!!!!!!!!

Re: Group buy on g type lenses

Hello, everyone. First, I may have made a mistake with what I said about the 405nm laser dot. Rifter, I had an original Techhood lens in a focus ring that was too far into the ring and set with fingernail polish (which I use instead of Loktite), and removed it with acetone. I should have tested the new lens with this laser, but I haven't so far. I will do that in the next hour.

crazyspaz, could you PM me with the number of lenses you want as I ma keeping a record of each this way as well, as the spreadsheets. Thanks, Paul

Thank you, ru124t. I can always count on you. The laser diode for your build is getting ready to ship from China.

I tested the 405nm 700mW laser with all the lenses I have. I looked at the beam at 40 feet and very close up against a white surface ( which cause smoke almost immediately ). All of my lenses gave a slight splash around the dot at 40 feet that looks like a light spray of powder around the dot. It is the only 405nm laser I have that will take an M9X0.5 lens. So, I don't know what to make of this. Paul

crazyspaz, you have been updated on both spreadsheets. Thanks, buddy.

Re: Group buy on g type lenses

Hey can I change my count to 3 (from 5)? Sorry, I do not have enough lasers that I would need all of them. Especially if these are not that good for 405nm or 638nm. Thanks.

Re: Group buy on g type lenses

Jstrawn, I've been in contact with Thejoker301 who has a large number of the O-Like lenses and he has assured me that he uses these lenses on his 635nm lasers and gets an appreciable increase in the 635nm wavelength, up to 1 watt with the Mitsubishi ML501P73-02 laser diodes. If you still want to decrease your order, just PM me and I will change your order to whatever you like. ;) Paul

Also, I get an appreciable increase in power with the 405nm I have. It is in the range of 22% to 25%. Mostly depending on the batteries and the type of lens used. What I mean is as opposed to the 3 element glass lens.

Re: Group buy on g type lenses

Measured another 9mm 445nm diode laser and it went from 1800mW to 2300mW (28% increase)

Re: Group buy on g type lenses

Photonz, that's great! I measure it out to be 27.777%, but for all practical purposes it's 28%. I get about 22% on my TO-18 445nm laser, but haven't tried it on my 9mm one yet. Might have to do that here pretty soon. I'm busy with two laser builds today, and it's eating up a lot of my time. Thanks for the heads up. :) Paul

Re: Group buy on g type lenses

Sure, no problem! I still think these may be better than the o-like ones but who knows

Re: Group buy on g type lenses

I can use 25

Re: Group buy on g type lenses

Laser Project, PM me with the number of lenses you want and I will add you to the spreadsheets. I need that as another way of keeping track of who wants what. Thanks, Paul

Re: Group buy on g type lenses

Laser Project, you are on both spreadsheets. Thank you for participating. Paul

Re: Group buy on g type lenses

Thanks, I'm collecting parts for a special project which will use all of them in one build.

Re: Group buy on g type lenses

Laser Project, what in the world are you doing with 25 lenses in a single build? Is it a projector? You've got my curiosity up, and I just had to ask.

Re: Group buy on g type lenses

This was my last build, it used 16 of them: IR, LED and Laser Project

I want to build a hand-held battery operated 20 laser diode unit (heavy though) with CO2 cartridge cooling.

Re: Group buy on g type lenses

Yeah, that would have to be heavy. But, wow, what an output! I'd love to see the finished product.
