Recently I found a website selling infrared lasers 908nm for curing all kinds of ailments for vet purposes. They say their lasers put our 210w! But do not induce heat in the tissue. I don't see how this is possible. Someone please explain for me better how this is possible or it'll it's a marketing gimmick as I suspect 210w should set your dog on fire but they claim no therMal damage is incurred. That whole site is the biggest pile of bullshit I've seen all year. For your own safety and the safety of your pocketbook, do NOT believe a word of it.

I took a quite peak around their website and found this: A Cold Laser is not capable of inducing thermal changes in the skin tissue. Laser Light in the frequency range of 600 nm to 700 nm is in the visible red spectrum and from 701 nm to 1000 nm it is in the infrared spectrum

They have no clue what they are talking about :)

I know but I wanted others opinions to show some people I know who didn't trust my knowledge. Cold lasers don't exists. Photons carry energy no matter what. Period.
 
Man what a load of horse hockey!!!! This kind of blatant deception should be illegal IMHO.

Thanks for the quick replies I needed backup to keep my parents from wasting their money I tried xplaning the physics of why it's not possible let and 210w would set their horse on fire not cure it's arthritis lol but it was over their heads

Any site that looks that bad should not be trusted anyway. It's like the used car dealership salesman suit of websites.

I don't get how anyone could believe in something like that.
It is contrary to common sense and (elementary) physics...

I guess that when people hear these "buzz" words, they think it's something awesome or something.


This is like "hit yourself with a quantum nano hammer to heal your bones" or "use this eco quantum neosteel knife to heal your wounds"...

First, the site looks like shlock. That should tell you something.

Second, lasers in the near-infrared range are indeed "cold" in that the dot doesn't concentrate on your skin, but penetrates quite a bit, thus spreading out the heat. Not to mention the dots tend to be pretty big. I have a 300mW? 808nm that has a natural focal point at about 6 inches (a narrow rectangle that becomes a narrow triangle about there, with a hot tip of the triangle). At that level of focus it can barely light a match painted black, burn a tiny hole in black paper and produce a tiny flame. Shined on the hand, I can't feel a thing. With my much weaker 405nm it stings like hell. Although I don't have an LPM, judging by the visibility of the 808 (dot visible outdoors in daylight) it is apparently quite powerful.
 
Thanks everyone just needed some backup nobody in the room believed me when I said cold lasers don't exist and 210w would burn your animal alive. It's on the Internet it must be true they figured I suppose..
 
He is sitting on a platform supported with that stick...
