Through the other thread I noticed that CNI makes 589nm handheld lasers, in both pen style and portable style. The interesting thing is that the maximum power CNI makes is 80mW for the 589nm version, along with how in the datasheet it says that the 589nm wavelength is much brighter than the 593.5 one. I haven't sent a request for the price but this really makes me wonder if it is worth the cost.
Here's a link to their portable laser section:
Laser pointer, handheld laser, 473 nm blue, 532 nm green, yellow, red portable laser.

No, Sorry, the pens are tops 5 mW rated, here is the costs of the 589 nm lasers:
Pens:
GLP-589nm-0.6-1mW/Unit USD390.00
GLP-589nm-2mW/Unit USD455.00
GLP-589nm-5mW/Unit USD635.00
PGL III (Flashlight style):
PGL-III-C-589nm-5mW/Unit USD575.00
PGL-III-C-589nm-10mW/Unit USD615.00
PGL-III-C-589nm-20mW/Unit USD685.00
PGL-III-C-589nm-30mW/Unit USD760.00
PGL-III-C-589nm-50mW/Unit USD815.00
PGL-III-C-589nm-80mW/Unit USD945.00
Note: Costs are before shipping and PP fees (if used)
Now I am trying to find out if these are as stable as the other DPSS green, yellow or blue lasers...
I just got the word, these 589 nm's are more stable than the 593.5 nm ones were! Great news! -Glenn
