Ask CNI about the Beam Expanders & Diffraction Gratings & RGB Goggles

I think a 'Please' would be appropriate. ;)

Glenn - My friend may be interested in buying a laser, I'll keep you posted (He's really not sure yet). He'd probably get the same thing I got.

re: CNI GB

Yeah bijan pleaseee. I think that was directed at me though he just put it in for a reminder. And my friend is buying RGB goggles from miniskater in the forum I think. Ill buy some green goggles and see how the quality is from cni

And darn that 300mw one is expensive. Oh well hope its really overspec and I am working more

:D. Glenn PLEASE ask them

Ill see what it looks like :)

re: CNI GB

Oh forgot to say. Should we change the title of the thread once we solidify a date? So peole don't think this is old and there's a new one comin up

Try deleting your cache and cookies, Cold made some changes to the server and several people have been having problems.

re: CNI GB

Yes they do, the 5 m pens are $30 before shipping, after these go to me and out to a USA buyer, it w/b about $40. They are the only ones that they do try to keep at 5 mW as all the higher output ones are aimed at over power.

For example, I got one of the 50 mW rated pens, and it's a cherry picked about 100 mW. LOL!

I'll give you the money would you buy me a 50 Mw HeHeHe

Pyro...:eg:

re: CNI GB

No problem Pyro, I bought 2 of them! I can send you the 2nd any time pal! -Glenn

re: CNI GB

These costs from CNI just in, (this is shipped in USA):
2X Beam expander/Unit USD128.00
googles/Unit USD53.00

Still looking into the diffraction gratings ..-Glenn

re: CNI GB

Damn that's a lot more expensive than I thought they would be since dragonlasers gets there stuff from CNI right? And their 10X is only 90 and their goggles are only 40?

Are CNI's prices negotiable.

I would really want a 10X they have. Do those from CNI and dragonlasers fit on the laser I am buying?

Same question Scope... Would both DragonLasers & CNI Beam Expanders fit on the laser you sold me?

re: CNI GB

I have bought several beam expanders from Surplusshed.com although I think these were all bought out now, those were originally more than a few hundred dollars when sold by Mellis Griot, (one of my own former employers btw), so any laser beam expander besides a DIY is really cheap at <$200. I think Optotronics still has a few but those are likely >$240 and need an adaptor as they were made to fit an about I inch output coupler. LaserGlow has a 10X expander made specifically for the PL III as well, (X10DR), but it is $439, (of course I think I can get those for about $100 off as a GB buyer) So, if you thought aquality laser beam expander was cheap...

Dragon Lasers unit is low cost, but is the quality that good? I don't know. I do think it's made for the same laser, but check with them. Quality is important, because the efficency of the lens coatings and the micro smoothness of laser grade lenses is going to make a great deal of difference. How many times 2X, 3X 10X is only important to those who want a special application for holography interferometry etc. I don't think the hobbiest needs any more beam expansion, as these folks just want small dot size over a distance with low light loss and low scatter. Here's where a good DIYer is really valuable. Some cheap laser grade lenses in a good solid housing can deliver like a pro for <10% the cost.

More on Goggles, althought I prefer OEM Laser Systems:
