CNI GB Round 2 FEELER

Once I hear back regarding 589 prices I will begin looking at end days. No use in it until then.

Ava has emailed me back.

1. There is no way for their engineers to install 473 into the GLP host.
2. They cannot make a Laser between 593.5 and 635.
3. And what everyone wants to know:

Ava(corrected English) said:
Due to the increase in material cost prices have gone up. If we can get 10 orders she will go down to 650 dollars for the 80mW 589nm Laser.

This price negotiation battle is anything, but easy, huh? CNI know people are hugely interested in that 589nm 80mW, but obviously they want make a nice profit out of it, which I personally can't blame them for (that's the business!).

Having said that, I'd try to appeal on the future cooperation between lpf.com representatives (GB organisers/buyers) and CNI (company/seller) and if possible to get the price down to exactly $600. People would gladly come back and buy from them again if they want them back as (loyal) customers (at least I would, 473nm call is strong:D). Not easy, not easy at all. They are still offering the best prices in the market for that yellow thingy:).

Hold on there, WBS.

So in other words.... the 80mW 589nm PGL-III-C went from $585 for 1pcs of the previous GB to ....
$650 for 10pcs price for the current GB.

It was 585 for 10pcs last GB
Now it is 650 for 10pcs currently.

I am going to send some PMs to those interested in 589 and see if 600 would be a price they could go for. If it is, I will try to negotiate it with Ava. If we cannot get 10 people who would go for it then it would be a waste to try to negotiate 600 for it.

Agreed. If the price go down to $600, I'm in for it. If not, I'd be in for a discounted 80mW 473nm (10 pcs). I'm aware of the risk people would still go for the yellow even at $650 and then there might be not enough of them for 473nm, but I'll take the chances even if I end up empty-handed.

Good luck with the negotiation, WBS!

I'm content either way. 650 is a great deal. normally this was quoted to me @ 800-1100 dollar laser. So im cool with it. as I stated above we're practically stealing them as it is. the cheaper the better, but lets not hassle them too much, lest we seem pushy.

I have to agree with ultimatekaiser, 650 dollars for an 80mw 589 is a good price. If WBS can do better that would be great but if not, count me in for a unit at 650 plus the other fees involved. I hope we can get 7 more people to secure this price. Thanks again WBS for all of your negotiating and hard work!!!

Alright, $600 is a good offer... Can the 473nm prices be brought down at all? I'm either in for a 473nm or a 589nm, depending on the deal... Sorry for the indecisiveness :p

Well for the 473nm, perhaps going with lasever or JetLasers would be a cheaper option at 50mW ...
Just saying. And since we aren't going to get the 10pcs discount for 473nm this round perhaps there will be better alternative choices?

I'm in for sure.

Anyone know if laser prices are like waves ?
Cos I haven't been around long enough to tell how the prices of 589nm changes over the years.
I know that the price of 445 and 638nm has gone down by quite a large margin over the years.

But it seems there is relatively little record of DPSS laser price changes .
What is the trend saying?
Is it going cheaper as time goes , or more expensive?

Cos , if the prices are relatively stable over the years . If I don't buy now , the prices will surely increase if I buy later.

Just trying to figure out should I skip a few books for a laser thats all lol

Honestly, I don't understand for the life of me how anyone can price anything and have one scintilla of confidence that the worlds monetary systems will still be functioning when they wake up next morning. :shhh:

Evidently the powers that be have done an excellent job of getting together and agreeing that inflation should not be seen even though the currencies of most of the world are no more than a government inspired idea balanced on a high wire in a ferocious wind storm.

Thank you! Rep for this when I get to my computer!
