FWIW: I modded my blu-ray with two DX 14500 cells and a bit of aluminum foil. By slightly readjusting the module I got a really nice easy to hold laser, no spacer required. Topped off with a DX GITD lens cover, it looks really spiffy and is easier to focus, too.
