Pin13 is your +15V. Set it to pin 4 for idle and pin 2 for run IIRC. Ground is pin 25 most of the others are control and monitor circuits.

I have the laser running right now, using the method I described before. Connecting 13/2 and 13/4 doesn't have any effect.

2 to 11 just turned it off.

So pin 2 is a V source then because 11 is a control return. 4 should be +15 run, ground for idle according to the sheet.

Try 13-2/4

Sorry guess my edit wasn't fast enough. Sam says 13 to 2 for enable, to 4 for run or 11 (return) for idle. So try all three 13/2/4

13/2 and 13/4 had no effect. 13/11 killed power, then sent it back to starter mode, during which there was a much brighter flash. Normal starter mode then continued.

Interesting. It sounds like you might have a bad run circuit possibly. Are you running it 1/3 & 4/11 for idle?

The only way I can get it to work is by connecting 1/3, waiting for it to start pulsing (starter), and connecting 13/14 briefly. If it fails it goes back to starter mode after a few seconds, then I repeat. After 5-10 tries it becomes very bright briefly and then goes to normal idle brightness, lasing CW.

While running, the only connected pins are 1 and 3.

That.... Is wierd to say the least. 13/14 should be two 15V pins+/-

It seems to be behaving like this whenever I connect 13 to any return. I think 14 is a return, not 15v.

Also, I typically hear 3 ticks after disconnecting 13 and 14.

Yes. But shorting them shouldn't affect anything run-wise. In fact many of these will run with just 1/3 jumped. Something is definitely up.

How would I access power control using the pins? It says pin 7 accepts 0 to 15 VDC, so connecting it to pin 13 should set full power. However that just kills power.

If something is wrong here, is it something that can likely be fixed?
