Well do you think laserbtb is really scraping that much off the top of their high power 532's or is it a buying power issue?

Probably asking if I'm poor. Well... I'm not exactly rich .. but its not really buying power.
Because previously , I was thinking of dishing out around $400 max for a 500mW green.
But then I saw CNI's GB which was only going for as low as $300 a piece...

Now I don't know what to do.... :thinking:

Well obviously , CNI's GB is closed and won't be back till August , thats a month away :(
So I have 2 main choices , SkyLaser or JetLaser.
Both with excellent reputations and build qualities.

Now what the question comes down to is this...

Here we have 3 excellent companies.

If I buy it now , should I buy SkyLaser or JetLaser?

Or should I wait for the next CNI GB?

Is he unable to offer us price as low as CNI because he cannot buy in enough bulk to drive his costs down? His discounted price is blown away by CNI's price without the 10pc discount, which we got lucky this time and they gave us the discount anyways.

First of all sorry if this is confusing,
I would also like to add some pulsed lasers. Can I get a LP pulsed 532nm 10mW and a LP pulsed 532nm 50mw? Do the diffraction caps fit the pulsed lasers? Also can the LP pulsed 532nm 50mW and my gift be in white?

Just to avoid confusion I will restate my order for you.
HL515 - 30mW
Free gift: flash red pointer 635nm-20mW (white color)
LP pulsed 532nm 10mW
LP pulsed 532nm 50mW (white Color)

I feel like i cannot give a decent answere to that question because i never had a buying experience from those companies. I did see some wildly overspec PL532's..

It is not possible to think like that. We just dont know what overhead costs laserbtb and for example CNI have. There are many different factors what determines the price of a product. Also the products are not the same. I would say that if you can get a product just as good or better as laserbtb's product for a lower price, go for that :)

Hey! No problem. I will change your order now! The diffractiongrating caps only fit the HL styled lasers.

O I did :) paid for and awaiting shipment.

I think we should think like that. Those two products are practically the same, spec'd 500mw 532's with the same safety features. Should be about the same price right, but instead it's an over $200 difference.

Either laserbtb has a ton more overhead, or they overcharge, and with the price being so much greater, it's possible that it's both.

$200 price different is A LOT !!!

You'll expect a lot more for that much more above market price

Thanks! One final question, do you have a good ballpark estimate of when these will arrive? I am moving in the near future and don't want to ship it to my current place if there is a chance it will arrive when I'm not living there anymore.

Lol okay so your comparing the price of products that are different. It is like going to a car dealer and say: i just want to pay 1000$ for that volkswagen because the mitsubishi from the dealer on the other side of the road has the same engine and is also 1000$ :p

Anyway dont hate on me for the price being higher then competitors on some items. I am do try to give you guys a better deal then on the website. If that is not good enough, what is? There will allways be price differences. And there will allways be people that still want things cheaper although they are discounted. Take a look at the ophir threads.

Not really sure when.. I am giving kevin more time to ship lasers then last time because last time the QC was kinda bad. So i dont know whenyou could expect them. Probably 2-3 after sending the order + cash. Could be longer though. If you aren't sure what adress you at, you could give an alternative adress from say a friend or a family member.

I'm not hatin on ya offroad I know your just the messenger in this case, but it's not just as that simple. Not sure if the car comparison is accurate, if they have the same "engine" are the buttons and keyswitch the extra $200 :) Far as I'm aware laserbtb and CNI quality is comparable and even CNI can be considered better.

It's really like one dealer is selling a Toyota Corolla for $18k and another is selling a Honda Civic for $25k. You know the quality and product is highly comparable, and the price should be at least close to the same

I would be really interested to hear what Kevin would have to say about this.

Personally I would show Kevin from laserbtb/SKY the CNI GB prices and if he may also be able to adjust his prices as 532nm came down in price a lot these days.

Hey man,

Yeah most of the time when a price sags kevin mails me about it. He did that with the 515 and 520.

However i will look into his pricing a bit more and show him the CNI prices.

Hey I'm curious as to what 16340 you guys use, especially for these lasers, specifically the HL models. I've been using Juice brand Juice Brand Rechargeable Photo Lithium CR2 Batteries | eBay in may lasers, but I was wondering if there were any better options. I've heard IMR might be the way to go.
If Juice is still good I might pick up some more.

Also, what does the tripod look like for the hl/pl models?
