Can someone check over my 2w 445nm design?

Hey, so this is my first ever laser build, and ive gone all out and gone for a 2w 445nm design. I was wondering if some people with experience uilding these can look over my design and let me know if im missing anything or if anything is wrong with the design.

I will be using a 445nm 1.5-2w 5.6mm LD bought from (here)

It will be put in a module/heatsink 25"d 25"h fits 5.6mmLD bought from (here)

A three elements glass lens will be screwed into the module/heatsink bought from (here)

the heat sink should perfectly fit inside the head of this flashlight

the diode will then be powered by this 1.8a driver

And cr123a rechargable batteries 1800mah

and of course I can't forget the googles.



so if those more experienced laser builders could maybe double check the build and tell me yay or nay that would be great!

Well, first things first, you should try a simpler build before going for a 2W 445nm.

Secondly, you are not going to get 2W with a 3 element lens.

Lastly, I wouldn't count on the heat sink there to fit perfectly in your flashlight, it would be better to get a kit from Jayrob.

I know, i'll probably only get about 1.5w

I did the measurements for the heat sink and it should fit perfectly in the flashlight.

I would do a kit or something, but i just wanted to build something I can call my own creation i guess.
Something that I figured out and somewhat designed myself. I dont see much point to getting a kit with all the peices and following instructions to put it together. Theres no learning or figuring out :)
 
You should go with a lower current like the 946mA or 1.25A you'll get a longer life with it.

You could also get two flex drives set to 0.9A each though idk what your budget is.
