Lives long and happy at 150mA, maybe more. When using an NIR or IR laser, use goggles or at least look through a digital camera.


And don't ever mention trying to attempt the kipkay mod, it makes you look like a noob which makes me to hate you...

I do admit, Kipkay's video got me interesting in it, or at least let me know that the lasers in DVD writers were powerful enough to burn stuff. Good thing I didn't build a Kipkay laser though, not least of all because he used an ugly Mini-Mag as a host.

Ok i finally got a burner diode!
Well awkwardly,i found a dvd player that was thrown out but!it can burn dvd's
i actually found 2 diodes outta this and i dunno why.Theyre both the same and look exactly the same as any other dvd burner diode.
I just dunno how strong the are at the moment.
It was also a pretty awesome dvd player too!Costs around 300+ bucks i would estimate.
