broken 445 nm 1 watt diode, still usable

well I already turned a flashlight into a custom host, I made a heatsink, somthing to hold the driver, and a custom battery pack to fit the extra parts. Id rather just buy another 445 diode rather than change the design
 





Thats under the assumption you sell the broken one. You can buy a new one for $40, so I dont see too many people inline to save $5 on a broken diode. And if you bring the price down you'll be losing a good amount of money. So the only logical thing to do is finish what you started.

hmm, I bought mine for 55$. If you can get them for just 40 than maybe It would make more sense to buy a new one and hold on to this one for later. Could you give me a link to where i can buy one for 40$?
