First thing I would do is take that thing apart and pull out some components. If it is a power supply, I'd bet there are lots of high voltage rated parts, things that could be used to make a simple voltage multiplier circuit =)
Why would you want to pull out components of an electronic device
before knowing if it is functional or not...:thinking:
The buyer has not said it was defective...
It may be perfectly usable as a HeNe tube supply...
I know, I'm kind of backwards on that, but I'd rather have a high voltage multiplier than a low power HeNe laser. I'm sure there are tons of useful parts in a supply like that =)
