On freecycle- at thrift shops/yard/tag/garage sales-- any/all Poliroid cameras-thin ez cut FS mirrors and small dc motors inside "One Step" style.

On top of the vintage bellows style- the rangefinder should be hackable into a EZ beam combiner- replace the dichro(Lasevers dichros look to be about the same size) or maybe adapt 'free' sled dichros/cubes and maybe add a opening at the end w/o the FS mirror for another laser.

Pop out the optics in the center and maybe insert a cube.

The glass windows are ez to remove.

Some models have a spring wind type timer that can be removed and used to rotate a FS mirror or grating @ 1 to 1/2 rpm( only one rotation, tho) from back in the day when you had to wait 60/120 seconds for the photo to 'develop' before you pulled the two parts apart. For a lot of you guys -this is from before your 'time' LOL

Any old 35mm cameras that have auto advance or rewind -have sweet tiny dc motors (3vdc) inside.--sometime have two of them. Old 35mm rangefinder cameras have parts in the focus optics that may be usable for beam combining too.

Photos to be added later.

Feel free to add your 'finds' and photos to this thread.

EDIT-- from a little experimentation I have found that w/o fine adjustment actual dichros beam combining is VERY difficult(esp. w/ sled optics!)--a lot of luck/tweaking is required. You should , however, be able at least, to get the beams very close which makes for a nice EFX doing Liq. Sky,Tunnel, and Spiro builds.:D GL

Amazing what can be " Re-purposed "......Too bad old typewriters had no optics !!! "Typewriters you say" ??? Google it junior !!!!:wave::wave:
Being the T.Rex that I am....I predict that there will come a day when we will have an app. that allows the cell phone to be utilized as TP !!! :D:D:D

That is a huge lens you have there. I am thinking of Alaskan on this one. Depending on the focal length, it could make for a good beam expander ;)

I only saw the date on the other post and presumed that it was recent. 6 years is a long time. Alaskan probably has it :D
