Why would I want to pay $500+ for a fried laser? By which I mean the extraction of the diode, and getting it to work. If it was fried in the building process, I wouldn't want to still have to pay for it. And you have gotten 100mW, so I don't think that as a guarantee would be an issue. Since obviously, the 4-6x drives produce a nice amount of power. Just as the PS3 diodes are pretty much guaranteed to output at least 5mW.
Of course after its built and working I wouldn't expect him to guarantee anything, since its basically still in a test-beta stage of things. But this is why I am still waiting...cause you just never know. Give it a few months, 100+mW violets will be hitting eBay pretty soon, and I cant wait for the day!
BTW its truly sad your not going to sell. What a waste of good talent. Somebody is going to make some good money off selling these. And its a shame to see that you hate money and profit. BTW, the unenlightened people are the ones paying your paycheccks. Which is the average consumer. I am not going to spend days upon days upon months upon years learning how to do this crap. I am not that big of a loser. That's what $$$ is for. I pay somebody so I don't have to do the work myself.
I would be willing to pay $600-$800 for one of these. As would many other people easily pay this amount to have a 100+mW violet burning laser. You'd have to be foolish to miss this up.
Also I have a question for you Mike. have you ever bought anything in a store? What about your computer? That monitor? Yeah, that's right...SOMEBODY else made it. So why didn't you make it? huh? Pfft, Mr.DIY my ass. You are nothing but a walking wallet to the companies that have sold you products. Me unenlightened? Stop acting like your all high and mighty 'better than everybody else' because you made a laser, cause your just a average sucker consumer like the rest of us.
