Blue Laser Broke, Trying to Decide on Replacement from LaserBTB or Lazerer

Hi all! About a year-ish ago, I was on here as a n00b and in the end I got a set of R/G/B/V lasers, pointer-style, from LaserBTB, all 80 mW. The idea was to have a nice set of same-spec'ed pointers to show off and to also use for astronomy stuff and photography and to show how horrible the human eye is at detecting color evenly.

Last month, my blue was sitting on my desk, rolled, and it fell about 3 ft to a carpeted floor. Ceased to work. Last week, I lost my 5mW green pointer that I had had since '07 and was waiting for it to die to get a new one.

What I'm attempting to figure out is (a) from where to get new lasers, and (b) what to actually get. I'm a fan of sets, having everything the same. And it would be neat to get something higher power. BUT, I don't want something high power to the point I need goggles -- though this is all for outdoor usage.

With that in mind, I have the following issues: Cost and similarity. ONLY the PL line from LaserBTB at 500 mW has the same model across all four colors. And the cost is well over $1k. So similarity is out. Meaning that I already still have 80 mW functioning V/G/R lasers.

So now the question is, should I say to heck with replacing everything with higher power versions and just get a nice, maybe 200 mW or 500 mW blue and my 5mW green replacement?

If so, the Lazerer Cyber 200mW blue and their "tiny" 5mW green appears to be what I'll get. $90+$15. As far as I can see, LaserBTB does NOT have a 5mW green pointer-style laser that I can use that is a reasonable price (their 5mW green is a ridiculous $60); if they did, I'd probably go for their HL-model 500mW blue for $80.

Now that I've sorta talked through this thought process, it doesn't seem like it's a very hard decision. But, I wanted to post here and see what you enthusiasts think.

if you would like to get into building your own you could buy a few c6 hosts and install red, blue, violet and green diodes in them for less than $400. if you went for a green dpss module it could be done even cheaper.

I know laserbtb is having a big sale right now if you didn't already notice. Their blues are going for great prices.

Not into building my own ATM. I'm building a quadcopter and the number of headaches with it is mounting, and work and ... well, at this point, easier to just buy for me. :)

check out the new laserbtb group buy. There is a low-powered HL460 single mode for an excellent price.

Laserbtb definitely, as everyone else said they are having a sale, plus there is a GB going on.

I heard Lazerer getting some negative feedback nowadays so I'd be wary of them.

Would I need goggles for a 0.5 W blue pointer? And what about LaserBTB not having a 5mW green -- should I just buy one of those elsewhere?

Hang on a sec and I'll go get Lazeerer, I'm sure he can help you
