Blu-Ray Laser Groupbuy? Interested? READ!

I am new to this forum, and found it through google. I am currently in development of a Blu-ray laser [405nm]. I planned on making it for personal use, but found that others without the technical knowlege, and or time/resources for reseach and development might be interested.

I have found lasers for sale ranging from $600-$2000 and that is completely unreasonable. Depending on the cost to build the finished product i should be able to sell them around $300ea. for a group buy.

This is no way a scam, i am going to complete the development of my own unit first. I will post the finished product pictures and videos. The laser pointer will consist of a reverse polarity protective circuit, not the simple resistor in series with a voltage source.

If anyone is interested please speak up, the finished product should be done by the end of next week. Anyone that definaly wants one once everything is completed, place your name on a #'ed list, if a list is already started copy the list adding your name to it in order. Once everything is completed i will arange for payments.

First off, WAY wrong area for a group buy...there is a section on here specifically for that.

Secondly, I do not hink you will find too many nibblers on your offer, as we are buying hte diodes themselves at $27.00 a pop, and making our own - or one of the mods on here is selling a complete unit for less than $200 IIRC.

Mike I couldn't agree more with that sentiment. I built my labby for less than yours (about $45) and like your wife , my wife just loves the colour (try shining it on an energy saving lightbulb) that is her favourite colour ;D ;D and yes, the feeling of satisfaction of creating something yourself is almost as good as using the laser.

Uhm - he made one post, and hte thread was dead until you brought it back to life....please tell me what hte issue is again ? Seriously, EVERYONE can buy and sell items on this forum as long as it is not you know,

Unknowns like the above individual are the reason we (the management) as EVERYONE to use a middleman if at all possible....it keeps everyone safer that way.
