Blu-Ray in a Laser Widow?

Hello I have been given an American DJ Laser Widow scanner. It has a 4.9mW(ugh) red laser in it : I should have it within a week.

What I'd like to do is put a nice high-power blu-ray module in there instead(All I have are AiXiZ modules to do this), along with the proper driver(these I have also).

Does anybody have experiece with these to tell me if this can be done? Or will I have to chop the insides apart to make the new module fit?

the new module should fit fairly easily but you may need to do some custom work to make sure the diode gets good cooling

That laser widow looks like a laser crab from www.maplin.co.uk same place andy_con got the one he modded I believe, great mod btw
