Blu-ray / 405nm UV Fluorescence & Glow Kit [NEW AND IMPROVED]

Re: Blu-ray / 405nm UV Fluorescence & Glow Kit (back in stock)

LED flashlight :)
I'd kill for a 365nm laser, though!

Addonex, any chance of finding a powder that glows red? it'd be epic!

Red powder would be epic, i would buy all of it. Red and black are my fav colors. Please look into it Addonex

Re: Blu-ray / 405nm UV Fluorescence & Glow Kit (back in stock)

There was someone earlier in the posts who mentioned some different colors. Cant remember which post. Let Addonex look into it first, if he cant supply it then id say ask that member who mentioned it. Addonex does great business.
@Baron: Any time my good buddy (: Mucho Appriciado

I've been looking into this myself, so far I've tested out 1 or 2 candidates but the quality wasn't up to my expectations. Red is a tricky one since the intensity and glow duration is much lower than the green or blue, but I can notify you when I find a suitable candidate. ;)

Great pictures by the way!

FYI you can erase the GITD powders with a powerful IR laser after charging with UV. Works best on cyan, worst on yellowish.

Now I gotta get this stuff on a piece of paper/plastic/whatever and stick it to my wall! The yellow power has more volume, do you think it'll be able to cover more area? What's the best glue/paint to mix with?

That's pretty awesome, the IR leds I tried to erase with when that was first asked didn't seem to work. Is that an 808 or 1064 laser? As for paint and glue, I find almost anything will work though clear ones will give better results. Even mixing it with plain Elmer's school glue works decently well to give something a quick glow in the dark treatment.

Re: Blu-ray / 405nm UV Fluorescence & Glow Kit (back in stock)

It's 808, not sure what's the power but probably more than 200mW.

Re: Blu-ray / 405nm UV Fluorescence & Glow Kit (now with blue dye)

It's been a while but I've added a new item to the kit! Each order will now come with 1mL of bright blue UV dye. This variety reacts very strongly to 405nm and black lights though it has no effect on 532nm lasers. It has the same ultra-concentrated mixture ratio of 1-5 drops per gallon of water, and so a single mL will produce anywhere between 10-20 gallons of fluorescent solution. The color doesn't quite come across well in pictures but I would best describe it as Cherenkov Radiation Blue. As with the other dye it must be diluted to work, otherwise it's far too concentrated. The overall price of the kit has been adjusted by $1 to account for the new addition.

Combining a drop of each of the two dyes together in water produces a very bright pink color, so you could consider it 3 in one :)

Recieved package yesterday, all i can say is awesome. Good packaging and product is exactly as described. Pictures just dont do justice, love it. Thanks -Aaron

Re: Blu-ray / 405nm UV Fluorescence & Glow Kit (now with blue dye)

SO my 532 100mW erases the glow powder glow properties. Due to the IR it releases. Just found this one out last night when i was using the vial for a liquid sky effect. Try it out. it works great

Re: Blu-ray / 405nm UV Fluorescence & Glow Kit (After Thanksgiving Special!)

After Thanksgiving Special (Nov 23 - Nov 30 only) all kits will get upgraded to double glow powder quantity for free

Normally a $5.00 extra charge, all kits will get 5g instead of 2.5g of the 3 colors of glow in the dark powders for any kit ordered before 11:59 PM (pacific time) on November 30th.

Re: Blu-ray / 405nm UV Fluorescence & Glow Kit (New: GITD Sheets)

Glow Sheets [new]

These sheets available in both Green and Red-Orange are each 21x30 cm size or roughly 8.26x11.8 inch, and have adhesive backings on them so you can peel and stick them onto anything. They're perfect for making your own glow in the dark stars or stickers, or just drawing on with 405nm (or 445/473nm) pointers.

Each sheet will brightly hold an after image for several minutes and the image will be dimly visible in a dark room for about an hour or two. The sheets are usable in a lit room and visible for at least 3-4 minutes before fading.

Videos of the glow sheets in action:

Prices added to the first post:

$7.00 for one green or red-orange glow sheet
$19.00 for one green glow sheet, one red-orange glow sheet, and one 405nm pointer
$31.00 Combo pack: 1 Glow kit, 1 green sheet, 1 red-orange sheet, and a 405nm pointer

The same flat rate shipping applies no matter how many items you want to add to your order.

Re: Blu-ray / 405nm UV Fluorescence & Glow Kit (New: GITD Sheets)

405nm pointers are back in stock, the latest batch has lots of overspec (50+mw) units among them, though at the moment I will continue to pick them out at random for orders.

Re: Blu-ray / 405nm UV Fluorescence & Glow Kit (New: GITD Sheets)

Choosing at random means no one gets their feelings hurt.

I'm in for one. :D
