BFG (Phraug) beamshots.

the lens on mine actually sticks above all the mountings and is epoxied in place.  There is an AR coating on the lens and it looks to be of very high quality.  When I got mine I got some dirt on it from placing it in my pocket without a piece of tape on the end.  Now, I recently purchased the lenspen from that site Timelord recommended and literally 10 seconds of wiping and it's cleaner than I could have gotten from alcohol and anything else.  I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE LENSPEN FOR CLEANING YOUR LASER.  WOW! will post pictures of it.  Was actually going to do a review of it and probably will.

Rick.  I love this laser but the one thing that is truly missing is a case of some sort.  The foam cutout is a perfect size but a cardboard box ends up getting destroyed entirely too easily if your using it to lug around your laser.  Something the quality of this http://www.novalasers.com/images/xseriescase.jpg would rock.  Another idea that would really be cool is just like all camera's with good quality lenses.  They come with lenscaps.  If you want to protect your lens from getting scratched or whatnot put on the lenscap and your secure.  I wouldn't take much to incorporate a small plastic lenscap that can be taken off and on.  I've got one from a Security camera and unfortunetly it's too big but SOMETHING to keep the dust out of the aperature. All it has to do is completly cover up the head of the laser to prevent dust or debris getting in the aperature. And with all that thermal past in there it's STUCK!

This is just a humble recommendation and it's only going to impress folks more with the quality of your laser. By adding a nice quality case and aperature cap you can increase the cost of the laser a bit more to compensate and I bet you that people will be more than willing to spend the extra $20-$50 it would cost to make this happen. I know I would.

Oh and sorry folks but my digital camera took a crap. I imagine it was from the 10 foot soar it took while taking some of my night shots. I'm taking it apart to see if I can fix it but I do have my webcam (which I used to take pictures of the aperature.) So you will be seeing movies soon.

Movie of it burning some electrical tape and some foam no slip pads.

Not dial up friendly.

Movie of it lighting a match. well two matches. one with an external lens. One without. I found a gem of lenses in my shed today while packing up my stuff to move and donno where I got them but it was a huge assembly. Took it apart and got all these lenses. the one I'm using makes it so it focus's fairly close but further away than all the rest. (bout a foot) Hope you ENJOY!

I just found out that BFG lasers is 10minutes drive away from where I live...

That could quite possibly cut down on your shipping time....

yup I asked him already
instead of $280US hes willing to do $280CND if I go pick it up.
if I were to buy 3 or more it'll be 260CND each

he said I can go inspect them to make sure I dont get a dud
he's advertising them here in Vancouver as 150mW
I always thought they were 125mW since we kept calling them fusions.

anyhoo, unfortunately I already pretty much gave DL my word I would get a hulk from them when they have the stronger ones in stock... so... I wont be taking advantage of this offer.

Beam shot in comparison to a DIY RED.
