Best Host for a 405 build?

I understand. I have no interest in 635/650nm and 532 has become a bore.

Today is overcast, so it isn't terribly bright indoors, but the beam from my 195mW PL450 is clearly visible while the beam from my 515mW 405 is not.

Is the 450 the same size as an m140?

The PL450 has 3.8mm package. You will need a suitable module for it like the 3.0mm copper module from the GB.

Alright. What size is a m140 and do these 450s get as hot?

I believe the M140 is the standard 5.6mm can.

I have my 450 in a 10440 host and the heatsink has very little mass. After a few minutes of playing with it I can feel the heatsink get slightly warm. I think I'm running it around 210mA to get 195mW out?:thinking:

What's the max current I should run this 450 diode at?
