The 445 holds the record for power but the 405 has the smallest beam and as such has a higher power density, What size hole do you want to make ?

im trying to burn a black nylon string behind glass.......about a foot away its gonna be a prank on somone.......if u were woundering
 
ahhhhhh... kinda there both worded different and I got two completely different answers in both whats the problem......not to be disrespectful





one of them was specific to 445nm questioning it not the one in general thread

Even if they were worded differently You are still seeking the same information. Read the forum rules. You will have other Vets -Reping You in a flash if it keeps happening.

I dont think its that big of a deal. If the guy wants to post in two different sections with threads aimed at completely different audiences then who cares. The point of this forum is to help and educate not to be a rule hor. Anyways to answer your question for strictly burning i would go with a 405 nm laser.

Pontiac is talking about the game where you cut a string and win an iPad, iPod, PSP or something else. Your discription of what you intend to do sounds exactly like the game is setup. This has already been discussed in the forum and is discouraged. Whether or not these are your intentions there is no need to jump down his throat.

As for your question 445nm laser are better burners simply because we can achieve higher powers with them. However if you are comparing a 445nm and a 405nm of the same power, the 405nm would burn better.
 
I seen a pic in another thread....but I'm 28 years old WHY in the Hell would i risk jail time for a psp....Damn ...thanks Weidmark good lookin out
