Old 750 VA transformer and rewind the sec winding with thick cable so you get 500 Amp @ 1.5 volts

Ok seriously a good burning laser for $100 would be this make sure you have the right goggles though so you do not blind yourself :tsk: Also this is a nice powerful IR laser.
