Well, if you are nearby military base, that's more complicated. Also military aircraft and some others are not shown there - good point. Anyway regarding FlightRadar app here is how it works. In my case it helps a lot as I need sometimes 15 minutes to prepare and do my artwork with lasers on, so I need to find a window in air traffic. Anyway it might be less if I do not need to point steady beam in the sky. And when you hear a plane it is often too late... But I mentioned it already...
 





True. It's a bit tricky for me. I'm about 4 miles as the crow flies from one of my country's busiest airfields. The app looks neat. Wish I could live with a smart phone haha. I just need someone to develop a smart phone with buttons now :wave:
