ok so after the first 2 successful builds i already made one 650nm and one 445 i want to built a 405nm so i made a mistake to buy 1st and read after :s(thats not even my type i still think how reckless i was)i already have ordered the BDR-209DBK diode, housing, lense and the problem comes to the driver, the driver is this one 1pc 5 5V 0 5 1 5A Power Drivers for 500mW 800mW 1W 405nm 450nm Blue Laser Diode | eBay that claims 405-450nm and starts from 500ma so it should be ok(i had hard time to find a 405nm driver that can do more that 400ma on ebay so ended with this choice :S also saw later those good drivers that DTR selling but already late) but after some hard reading on the forum everyone suggesting those soft start drivers etc and lot of those diodes fried on the 1st minutes of use and im afraid for the durability of this project i guess ill set the driver to 500ma(the minimum) but will this driver be bad for the diode?the items have some days and are already shipped so i cant do much about it.
