My recommendation is to stay away from flash powder, there are so many things that can go wrong. I'm telling you this from experience, I quit the pyro hobby because I knew I was taking too much of a risk. You can also get in huge trouble with the law these days if you are caught with all of this "terrorist" hype.jonasa0601 said:Nice humansymphony!

Well that's because it has a fairly high ignition temp and flash powder simply doesn't just go off as people make it seem. I've tested it rigorously and throughout the many tests I've conducted it seems to be actually fairly resistant to igniting :-/ I put a lit match on top of a pile of flash powder and it took around 10 seconds to ignite. I actually directly shocked it with an electrode and it didn't ignite. Impact sensitivity is also questionable. Shouldn't they explode when I throw them from 2 stories onto the hard ground? Of course don't get the wrong idea, it's entirely dangerous and I DO treat it as if it could kill me (since it can). For those who think the excitement isn't worth the risk, well, you simply don't have a heightened sense of fun like I.jonasa0601 said:Ludwig you scare me
Luckily thermite just doesn't "go off" )
Just like butane lighters using a piezoelectric igniter.jonasa0601 said:The igniter you made, is it just a battery and some wires, and when you turn it on, a spark comes?
