More awesomeness! The red beam bouncing off mirrors and going on is my favorite.

What was it you were trying to prove?

I think it was the "how can I split my beam in 10 beams" thread. I was trying to proove that shining a beam through a lens will not only deviate it , but it will also make it converge and then, of course, diverge beyond the focal point.I tried to take some quick pictures too but your picture makes it clearly visible. ::)

edit: spelling, I had 6 classes today....that's 12 hours so i'm a little tired. :p

I posted 4 more, but that's about all I have. I do have more but they are mostly the same. as previous ones. I'll probably be taking more next week.

Great pictures. Fog machines really do justice to a good collection.

Re: Assorted pictures of laser beams -UPDATED AGAI

Thanks pseudonyms.

I took another batch today because I had the whole day off and couldn't come up with something better to do. The best 15 are posted up there, at the very end, below the list of laser I own from yesterday.

I really need a girlfriend.... Or maybe I don't!

Yes, that is indeed an Omnichrome 532 Argon-ion laser right there. It's my personal favorite. It's got just under 1800 hours on it. She's got multiline optics, as you can see, and I get about 40mW out of it when I crank the current up to 10 amps. Idles at 5 amps and about 5mW. I actually get two lines when lasing at idle, something I haven't seen before. At max power I get six lines that you can plainly see, and as many as another 4 that you can't see without fog and long exposure times. At maximum power it draws about 17 amps from the wall, enough to trip the breaker on a regular circuit by itself, and so I installed a 20 amp circuit in my bedroom specifically for this laser. It sure warms up my bedroom in a hurry, I used it as a heater over the winter! Run it for half an hour and you're warm for the night!

Yes, I do have a diffraction rating, you can see it prominently being used in a few of the pictures.

Thats what I used to do when I was cold in the mornings ! Stuck mines on for 15 minutes, and the room was nice and hot , it even managed to heat it when I took the panel off the roof that goes to the loft !

Omni 532s are nice , im saving up for a Lexel 88 just now, so I'll post pictures when I have that
