G'day,

Im looking for a spectrometer to measure me wavelengths, does this look like a go-er?

Interesting- did you google it?

The sensor is a linear one - you put in a clock signal and it gives an analogue output of each pixel- they must be using a prism or diffraction grating to separate the spectra. You could almsot make one yourself.. Datasheet Here.

The sensor is basically the same one you find in a typical flatbed scanner. Horizontal CCD sensor.

Interesting kit.
 
Ohh nice, that thing is expensive too!

Thankfully, it was donated :thanks: after the owner of the company who purchased it retired -- God knows I'd never be able to afford one of those critters on my meager disability stipend! :can:
