Arctic's Open Source RGB Laser Host

Bob, what happened to your diode ? broke out ? or have I mis-interpreted the various responses ?

On my n450 build she "led' as soon as I powered her up. Led'd means she went real briefly bright than dimmed down to about 1/3 brightness just like an led light bulb. Since than she gone completely dark. I tested the driver and she was still good so I replaced her with a 44 and she's making photons for days. :)

Yup!
I promised to help Bob out with host and I'm installing electronics on it. :D

Material is Black PETG..

I've read back through this post and am so impressed with this build, I can't wait to add this unit, she's going to be my pride and joy. I appreciate your willingness. She's such a fantastic build.
:worthy:

Oh, I didn't realise that you are actually going ahead and getting one. I wish I could afford to do the same.

It's ok, I kinda thought that, but just wanted to play along. :)
I hope in the future you can if you'd like and pick one up. I'll do a review of this gem when I get it. Like I said I reread through this thread and am sooo impressed!!!! :)

It is a very impressive laser! I love seeing those multi-colour beamshots ArcticDude keeps posting.
I'll look forward to seeing your review, and especially pics. :)
Thank you Bob, but it is unlikely for me anytime soon. :cryyy:

Your welcome; but hope springs eternal.
I'm jazzed about being able to add this build to my collection been  over it for a while now. :)

I'm not surprised Bob. It is pretty wonderful. :)
For future reference, what is the cheapest one of these RGB pointers can be made for ArcticDude?

Can't answer that. Sorry :(

Excellent, than all I would have to do is order this, 400mW micro RGB laser module - Opt Lasers

And this

And I should be good to go. :D

Edit@ ArcticDude; Looking sharp.

yes it does! Even better than on my RGB Host!

Nice what is PLA or ABS ? what parameters did you use ?

No PLA nor ABS, if you are still missing it: just Google > PETG
:D:D

Please, don't ask me!
I don't have a clue about print parameters, since it's not my printer and I'm not printing it! :shhh:

Yes I have many times. Trustworthy. :)

Even better than yours!!!

Man I'm going to be one happy camper! :D

Yes, Jan (The Guy who print's it) have been updating & fine tuning his 3D printer.. All I can say is that looks much sharper than my 3D host print :)

Can't wait to see it IRL.. :D
