Anyone having trouble with EMS/SpeedPost this holi

Probably a post born of impatience, but I was wondering if anyone else has had unusually slow delivery from EMS and/or SpeedPost lately? I have ordered from LED Shoppe several times and never had more than a 3 business day lead time for delivery, and right now I have 2 shipments out there, an LED Shoppe I reieved shipping confirm on Sun Night, and a SpeedPost from FP that was confirmed last Friday morning...

(We're in the middle of an 8-12" snowstorm here in the Midwest right now as I type so I'm not putting too much faith in getting them today either...Grrrrrr!)

Last week I had several laser shows shipped from China via EMS, confirmed shipped on Mon and in my hands Wed afternoon - I'm wondering if both LED and FP are sending their confirmations prior to actually shipping the orders lately - Anyone else having this dilemna?

Oops....Spoke too soon - VIVA LE POST OFFICE (I think that's right...)

Well, another 10pcs of the LED Shoppe 50's, all tested and working beautifully, 38mW on the low end (just one of 'em) and 3 of them actually hit 50mW plus (51-53-53) - the rest were 41-48!

Seems (according to the dedicated postal worker who actually braved the storm to deliver to my door) there are 2 ways that items can be shipped EMS, these were shipped for delivery before noon (which explains the door to door) and the standard, so I'm assuming the FP stuff should be here this afternoon with our regular 3pm postal delivery (again, totally snow dependant).

You should REALLY read this thread, especially the posts by Frothy. This link is another user here who got their EMS order confiscated, and it's generally accepted that using EMS increases the chances of your order getting searched/confiscated/etc.

Selling those lasers like you mentioned in another post (http://www.laserpointerforums.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1226642076/29#29) is illegal, and importing them is also illegal. Just making sure you know what you're doing.

You really shouldn't use EMS when importing illegal laser pointers in bulk. Use normal airmail.
