Dragon Lasers has these listed at $399 and 5 mW output. I can't find a
review on the boards, but I found a youtube video of one LPMing at about
15 mW, with an additional external IR filter. For this price/output, Im surprised
that no one has picked one up and done a review. I know Sigurthur was
asking about the same thing in January, if anyone has one, I'd love to
know what you think about it. ;)

Thanks

I think many people are realizing that the novelty of a yellow laser pointer isn't exactly worth its hefty price. Maybe I am wrong and that is just me

I guess if I had $399 I'd buy it, we humans love whats rare/difficult to reach, the same applies to lasers.

I got mine in the mail yesterday.

I was afraid at 5mw I might not see a beam but it has one. More visible than red, blue or violet, less visible than green.

It's like a pretty little beam of sunlight at night.

It would be suuuuper cool if you did a review of it. It would be the first one.
Even cooler with lots of pictures. ...free ride to rep. city. :shhh:

I'm wasteful and frivolous...I put off buying it for months but finally I broke down and bought it.

It's not a good investment. It wasn't a wise purchase. But I do enjoy looking at my amber colored laser. At night it's like a little beam of sunshine.

The rare wavelengths are the best in my opinion, they usually have the tighest beam specs you'll find in a handheld. :) my 593.5nm is like pinpoint thin, less than 1mm at aperture.
