anyone else get a strange PM today??

I got a really strange PM today from a member who just joined this morning with no posts, the PM asked me to send an email to a yahoo box located in India.

Is this just a spammer trolling for email addresses??

It could be suspicious, but it sounds to me like they guy feels that the forum would be hostile to his bad english, which is very possible, so he doesn't post here. maybe he's just looking for someone to communicate with that might be able to help him without giving him a hard time about language issues. Only speculation, though. I can't see what harm it would do to respond and see.

I'll use the pm system rather than the email, I get enough Viagra offers already.

I figured if this PM showed up in a slew of boxes, it would be obvious he's trolling.

Yeah sounds like he is forum shy. Tell him we have many members who dont speak English well. So no worries.

If you have doubts , but still want to check, just set up a temporarily email account at one of those free-online-email servers (most of them autodelete your account if you don't use it for 30 or 45 days, so if it's a fake or something similar, just stop to use the free account and left it die for natural dead ).
