I'm not too sure about this laser because it isn't from a popular laser store, however it seems legit enough. But, I would suggest something like
this one as it is a better company and your going to get a good product.
Also, if you get something with over 5mW of power, you are going to need to get them some laser safety goggles if they don't already have some, making sure the goggles are suitable for the wavelength that you are going to get them. For example, that one that you posted and the one I posted is red at 650nm, which means something like
these would be good. However, if the laser you decide to get it a different wavelength, you will need to choose other glasses. Take a look at that site and Survival laser.
Also, if this is their first laser, I would NOT suggest anything above 5mW, and definetely not over 20mW. Some good sites to look at are Lazerer, Dragonlasers, and just look around the forum.
